ADOS Backups - Privacy Policy

ADOS Backups — Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 21, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how ADOS Backups, a private application developed for Automation Development OS (ADOS), accesses, processes, and protects information when interacting with Google Drive.

ADOS Backups is designed exclusively for authorized backup and recovery operations controlled by the application owner.

2. Information Processed

ADOS Backups may process the following categories of information:

  • Operational configuration files associated with ADOS.

  • Application state, execution records, logs, and workflow data.

  • Encrypted backup archives and their integrity verification files.

  • Technical metadata required to identify, upload, verify, and restore backups.

  • Google OAuth credentials required to maintain authorized Google Drive connectivity.

The application is not designed to collect unrelated Google Drive files or information for advertising, profiling, or commercial data analysis.

3. Google Drive Permissions

ADOS Backups uses the Google Drive API with the following permission:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file

This scope allows the application to create and manage files associated with its own Google Drive integration.

Google Drive access is used exclusively to:

  • Upload encrypted backup archives.

  • Verify uploaded files and their integrity.

  • Retrieve backups for authorized restoration.

  • Manage backup retention and related files.

ADOS Backups does not request unrestricted access to the user's entire Google Drive.

4. Data Encryption and Security

Backup files are encrypted using age encryption before being uploaded to Google Drive.

The private decryption key remains under the owner's control and is not intentionally transmitted to or stored on the backup server.

The application uses access restrictions, integrity checks, and authenticated connections to protect backup operations.

No technical system can guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Storage and Retention

Encrypted backups are stored in the Google Drive account selected and authorized by the application owner.

Operational data may also be stored locally on the owner's private server.

Backup retention settings determine how many backup archives are kept. The owner may modify these settings and delete stored backups.

6. Data Sharing

ADOS Backups does not sell personal information or use Google user data for advertising.

Google Drive data is processed for the backup and recovery functionality requested by the owner.

Data may be transmitted to Google Drive as necessary to provide this functionality, subject to Google's applicable service terms and privacy practices.

ADOS Backups does not intentionally disclose Google user data to unrelated third parties.

7. Use of Google User Data

Information obtained through Google APIs is used only to provide the explicitly authorized backup, verification, retention, and recovery functionality.

ADOS Backups does not use Google user data to train artificial intelligence models, create advertising profiles, or perform unrelated analytics.

The application's use of information received from Google APIs is subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including applicable Limited Use requirements.

8. Revoking Access and Deleting Data

The owner can revoke Google Drive access at any time through:

https://myaccount.google.com/permissions

Revoking access prevents the application from performing future authorized operations through the revoked connection. It does not automatically delete backup files already stored in Google Drive.

Existing backups can be deleted directly from the owner's Google Drive account.

9. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes in the application's functionality, security practices, or applicable requirements.

Updated versions will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
