Is this motorcycle protective gear?

No. The Reactive Jacket is an outer rain layer, not motorcycle armor. It should be worn over your normal protective riding gear rather than used as a replacement for it.

Does it really change color when it gets wet?

Yes. The outer fabric reacts to liquid water, revealing the brighter color underneath as the jacket gets wet. As it dries, it gradually returns to its darker appearance.

How fast does it change colour, and does it go back?

The pink shows the second water hits the fabric and spreads with the rain. As it dries it fades back to solid black, usually within an hour off the bike. It's a reversible reaction,
not a dye, so you get the change every ride.

Is it waterproof?

The jacket is designed for wet weather and features a water repellent outer layer with sealed zippers. We would not make a stronger waterproof claim unless the exact waterproof rating is confirmed for the product

Can I wear it over my armored riding jacket?

Yes. The Reactive Jacket is designed to work as an outer layer over your riding gear. If you wear bulky armor underneath, choosing a larger size may give you a more comfortable fit

How do I wash it without damaging the reactive effect?

Machine wash cold, avoid fabric softener, and hang dry to help preserve the reactive material and overall finish
